I am a Colombian artist living in Barcelona. Through art I have been able to connect with the landscapes and culture of my ancestors. I re-imagine Latin American art through historical figures, legends, landscapes and symbology inspired by the iconography of pre-Hispanic goldsmith masters. I am inspired by the revival of historical memory, the wisdom of indigenous cosmovisions and nature. My work frequently transforms landscapes into relief engravings with metallic colors that represent the mineral richness of the earth. Since 2020, I have been managing Casa Jaguar, an arts studio in Barcelona where I collaborate with other Colombian audiovisual artists with whom I share my interest in developing a visual language that integrates pre-Hispanic art with contemporary art.
