As a Mexican artist, my art is rooted in Latin American symbolism, mythology, literature and cultural history. The images that appear in my prints, drawings and paintings are interpretations of dreams about love, nature and the sacred connections between animals and human beings. They are representations of my vision and heritage as well as my deep interest in Tibetan art. Like an enlightened moment, I have realized the dualistic nature of art, its diversity and universality in relation to the state of mind I have created when I left Mexico. Since moving to New York City in 2010, I have continued to expand my working processes and mediums to achieve the best result by exploring their unlimited possibilities. I consider my art to be open ended. It is up to the viewer to interpret it as they like, to contemplate what they see and feel instead of my interpretation of what the work is about.
