About The Artwork
“Bouyancy” is part of my ongoing series entitled “Explorations in Soft Abstraction”. Much of my work is characterized by graphic hard lines, shapes and forms. In the soft abstraction series I explore diffuse lines, shapes and forms along with soft, blended color transitions. I feel the influence of Mark Rothko very powerfully in these works. The effect is very meditative in both in the process of painting and viewing the work. This is a dramatic, high quality giclee print on museum grade canvas true to the size and visual impact of the original painting. It is printed by Bellevue Fine Art Reproductions and stretched over a wide 2 inch stretcher bar for a stunning presentation ready to hang. This work is also available as a separate limited edition series printed on museum grade archival paper. I grew up artistically in the heart of a technological hub and this was central to the integration of technology with my art. I do not believe that technology is "the" future of art. I believe that technology, like every innovation in art before it, is an exciting new aspect of modern art and I feel honored to be a part of that.
