First Movement - Limited Edition 18 of 20 Print

Presented as still life studies, the series of balancing acts using commonplace objects is a reference to thought. The process is something we all experience without noticing, every minute - have a thought, hold it for a while and let it go. The first in the triptych, “first movement”, is a contemplation on the way a ‘seed thought’ multiplies to quickly become a cluster, leading to action. The prints are not reproductions from paintings. They are painstakingly painted on up to 100 layers with a touch-sensitive stylus in a paint programme. This way they can be printed on the studio printer that makes artwork of archival quality.
