I attempted here to represent friendship and community through interlocking homes and structures that recede into a geometric pattern. The receding pattern helps convey depth but also stands-in for an idea of networks. The composition was first drawn on paper. I transferred the image to a linoleum block (in reverse). After carving, I hand-printed the block onto Kitikata Japanese paper. Artwork details: Image: 21.25 in. x 21.25 in. Paper: 29 in. x 29 in.
