ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Did you know that Ginkgo Biloba was the first specie of tree to regrow after the atomic explosion in 1945 in Hiroshima? A ginkgo Biloba located less than a kilometer from the epicenter even survived ! I choosed this beautiful symbol of resilience as we are going through the Covid crisis. This serie is a continuation of the painted serie "Millefeuilles", there are indeed plant motifs and accumulations. These are hand-printed linocuts on a hand-painted acrylic support. As a result, they all appear similar but are yet all different. Colours variations, and sometimes even a tiny imperfection, make each image an unique work. The motif measures 15cm x 15cm and is presented in a black frame with a coaster (dim : 20cm x 20cm). It is nicely highlighted by a cream-colored passe-partout. (The visuals shown are not contractual)

Born in 1959 in France but now living and working near Maastricht and Aachen, in Netherlands. She completed a full course at the « Ecole des Beaux-Arts » in France. She worked several years with her master Marc Fonvieille, then with Isabelle Monférier. She uses structure and contrast to build strong compositions and these are still the key points of her work. She recently found a new intriguing playground in AI-assisted creation. At the heart of her artistic endeavors lies a focus on contemporary portraiture. Each piece is a testament to my commitment to understand the mystery of the human soul. She often revisites classic styles to breathe new life into timeless themes. The result is a collection of portraits, captivating and that invite viewers to ponder the profound depths of human emotion and identity.
