Hyperion - Limited Edition 1 of 8 Print

I trained as a letterpress printer in the 1970s. I now run a studio which houses my printing materials. I do letterpress printing and make collages from the cut up pieces of paper I print. I randomly select the pieces, blindly you could say, and place them on to a board exactly as I find them, without manipulation or change for any aesthetical reason. So the results are random. I'm very interested in the role of the random and chance as part of the production process of my work. Also I like to manipulate lettering and type to the point of abstraction and deconstruction so the end results are intriguing, puzzling, confusing and often I think beautiful.
