ABOUT THE ARTWORK
DETAILS AND DIMENSIONS
SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Oil on Italian paper. Response to climate change and the ice caps melting. I'm drawn to nature as my subject for printmaking, I think partly because to print you have to be inside in the studio so by the natural world being the focus of my work I can bring it inside.

Amber Sidney-Woollett is a London-based artist and writer who graduated from the University of Oxford, Magdalen College, where she studied English. Whilst at university, Amber kept up with her artist practice and even now, working full-time in advertising, she makes art before work, after work and at the weekend. Her ambition is to be able to quit her job and work as an artist full-time to continue developing her practice. She enjoys the symbiosis of writing and art and finds that throughout her artist practice poems are often feeding paintings and vice versa. She is drawn to the natural world and paints an oasis of trees, views and natural forms, including the human body. Amber practices a variety of media from oil and acrylic painting, to college, drawing and print-making. She finds her best work is created from the rub of one medium against the other.
