About The Artwork
Depicts Miriam dancing on the shores of the Red Sea. From a series of oil paintings called Reflections of Biblical Women, a traveling exhibit. Miriam demonstrated gratitude to god in front of an audience of some 600,000 freed from slavery in Egypt. With just the clothes on their backs, I imagined her using fabric to exaggerate her movements for all to see.
