On June 26, 2016, while I was on a cruise on the Fleuve Saint-Laurent, I was alone on the bridge and I was crying because I was bored with my children. I looked at the churches along my sight and I had a revelation ... I saw a vulva as being the door of each one. Since then, I saw a vulva at the entrance of each church that I met. Three months later, I finally decided to draw in graphite the church of Sainte-Marie, the city that greeted me when I moved with my two children. I made 6 prints of this drawing and I make variants. Here, I wanted to express the power who drives me after this event, because it gave me the energy to respect myself and continue my art. As much as the church symbolizes for me a typically feminine place of welcome, so much her vulva-shaped door allows me to resume my power as a woman who has married at the church, for lack of self-confidence to say no and naivety in thinking that marriage will arrange everything.

I was born in Saint-Camille-de-Lellis, grew up in Saint-Anselme with my mother and I went back to spend my adolescence with my father. I live and work in Saint-George-de-Beauce since July 2019. I am involved as president of the association Artists and Craftsmen of Beauce to bring together the visual creators of the region and help each other in the development of our artistic approach. In my production, I explore the similarities between the human being and nature to create a new vision of what unites us. It is through the exploration of my personal iconographic field that I approach drawing, painting, false stained glass, embroidery, serigraphy and sculpture, by a falsely naive poetic surrealist approach. My process of creation follows from a transformation of my moods by the transfer that I make in the subject, work which is then taken up in an interdisciplinary way. Subsequently, the elements that represent nature and the sacred feminine are for me symbols of healing that I transpose on a larger scale when the works do not speak of my personal story.
