"Looking down". Original sold. Inspired by the wonderful photography of Joerg Warda and produced with his permission. This was my 'drunk' canvas, one that I would feel safe to play around with when I came back from the pub. It took over a year to come together and was a result of extensive experimentation with different media, including sponges and toothbrushes. It was fun to make. Limited Edition Giclee prints available, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Paper: Somerset Enhanced Velvet, a 255gsm fine art paper made from 100% cotton. Age resistant. Size: A3

I am a classically trained artist specialising in capturing the female form. I also teach life-drawing and offer private art tuition from my studio in Windsor. As you can see I specialise in capturing the female form - subtle, classical nudes in oil, charcoal, graphite and red chalk. I trained at Heatherley's School of Art, London and The National College of Art & Design in Dublin. My work has been included in the books ‘Images of Women in Art’ and ‘Musings of Miss Yellow’. Testimonial “Patrick Palmer is a modern master of figurative art. His post-romantic nudes are not only exquisitely painted, but also dreamy, delicate and suggestive. They only hint at sensuality and evoke fantasy in the subtle and elegant manner that distinguishes art from pornography.” Claudia Moscovici, Co-founder of postromanticism.com and art critic (“Romanticism and Post-romanticism”, Lexington Books, 2007).
