Kristjana has had a great interest in maps since she was introduced to cartography in geography class when she was growing up in Iceland. Her other great influence as well as nature is the city. She explains to viewers how the eclectic mixture of styles of architecture inspire her, from historic buildings to stark and modern constructions to Kew Gardens. Kristjana loves this mix and how different it is to Iceland where the visual landscape is completely dictated by nature. She hopes that the viewer will feel the same sense of excitement she gets from living in such a vibrant and busy city. Printed in the artist's studio in London, using the highest quality archival paper (Matt Smooth Fine Art Cotton 300gsm) and highest quality inks (giclée) - printing method ensuring depth and vibrancy of a velvet-like finish and to ensure you are able to enjoy your print for years to come. Edition of 125, signed and numbered by the artist. Kristjana’s prints are sold through many sales channels and some of them sell fast.
