Matched Set of 3 Double-Signed Lithographs #125/410 - Bob Hope, Carol Channing, Jack Lemmon Print

The Al Hirschfeld Signature Series consists of the only four double-signed editions ever produced by the legendary pen and ink artist, Al Hirschfeld. This "Matched Set" consists of 3 double-signed lithographs - Jack Lemmon, Carol Channing, Bob Hope - each is #125 in its edition of 410. The 3 lithographs in this Matched Set bears 2 original autographs - one by Hirschfeld and the second by the celebrity depicted in that lithograph. Each lithograph comes with 2 Certificates of Authenticity, one verifying the numbered print and autograph by the artist, while the second cert verifies the celebrity's autograph. There are only a limited number of Matched Sets remaining unsold, however, there are more single lithographs available if you prefer to own only one or two in the Series. In 1996 and 1997, as GM of PACE Signatures Group, I contracted with Hirschfeld to produce these 4 signed editions which we purchased in total. I then contracted with the 4 celebrities to autograph all 410 (Copperfield 260) lithographs in their edition, and waited for their schedules to free up so I could take the lithographs to their L.A. area homes (Bob Hope & Carol Channing), office (Jack Lemmon) or on tour (David Copperfield) for the enjoyable and often funny autograph sessions I will never forget. I personally turned every page in these 4 editions while these great celebrities created some unique collectibles. In the first year following, we sold a majority of the double-signed Signature Series lithographs at prices as high as $5,000 each, either directly or through art galleries. We then "vaulted" the unsold lithographs for the next few years before we released them again in 2000 for sale at the Entertainment Gallery in Las Vegas . We are now offering the remaining lithographs at discounted prices to give collectors an opportunity to more easily acquire them before they sell out.
