This graphic series is made on a punched card of the USSR times. Punched cards are the ancestors of diskettes. They were punched in the right places or at the place of specific numbers to transfer certain data for further processing. During the Soviet era, they were also used for military purposes. These exact punched cards were used more usually in everyday routine. These works are allusions to the fact that Ukrainian cities are still under constant russian shelling, they are transferred into the form of data. With these artworks, I remind the world that the war is still here. Each artwork from this series is one of a kind. The size of the card is 14.7x20.7 cm.

In her artistic practice, Sofiia searches for ways to interact with the natural properties of the materials she works with. She tries not only to adjust them to her vision and requirements but also to give them a space for their physical properties’ self-opening. She finds a specific philosophy in the process of intervention into the material as well as drawing the analogies of it with life. Techniques she works with: art glass, installation, environmental arts, graphics, video.
