To make this print I use piece of copper coated with acid resistant layer of ground. Then I scratch my drawing into the layer using a sharp tool like a needle. Next I put my copper plate in to the acid bath to let the acid bites away the exposed by the drawing metal. When the lines are deep enough I clear the ground off and rube the inks into the lines of the design and then I wipe the surface clean. I damp the paper then and place it over the plate and roll it through the printing press under great pressure. This causes the ink to be pulled out of the incised lines onto the paper and creates the plate mark. The last step is to dry the print and flat it down and of course sign it...
