A beautiful view of the responsibility of a mother within the African Diaspora. The sophistication of the pink umbrella makes her distinct as she walks down the road to the market with style. Her strength is eminent as she is carrying the child on her back and balancing fruit above her head. While paying attention to her garb, a viewer might deduce the pink umbrella as an indication of her dignity. This bold image is deep, symbolic, and representative of a high esteemed African woman captured in real time.
