Over The Bridge To Waterloo II is a variable edition monoprint and image transfer print. It is of the view at night from Waterloo Bridge as I walk over from Covent Garden to catch the train home. These mixed media prints are made by creating a loose painterly mono print with relief ink and rollers on Somerset paper. A photocopy image of the original view is then transferred on top, and the unwanted parts of it rubbed away to reveal certain details. This creates variations in the image, and some parts of the top image may be torn or removed to create a textured top layer. I then sometimes add watercolour to add to the paint effect. As this print contains watercolour it is not recommended to display in direct sunlight.
