Art Description

Printmaking: Etching on Cardboard, Plastic.

The work was hand printed and published by the artist at The Center for Works on Paper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The artist used a Charles Brand printing press (industrial, floor) manufactured in New York City. Please note that this etching is shipped to the collector with both a wood and glass frame and an archival mat. A sturdy cardboard box is employed for shipping the work. This mysterious print (from my MYSTERIOUS PLACES SERIES) was inspired by a photograph in the collection of The US Library of Congress in Washington, DC. (Collection; Photochrom Prints; Title - The Knight's Hall, Mont St. Michel, France; taken between 1890 and ca. 1900). This work is from the first of three editions of ten prints per edition. Etching techniques include intaglio, engraving, aquatint with both hard and soft wax grounds on a zinc plate. Editions II and III will be printed after the summer of the leap year 2020 because of astrological reasons.
