A high quality Fine Art print (of a watercolour original painting) on beautiful luxury quality archival paper, which will last. This is a dreamy abstract blue watercolour illustration. The print quality is bright and looks like an actual painting unlike digital prints. I hope my art can create an experience of being within the landscape and invoke a feeling of calmness and happiness through my use of colour and materials. I am interested in the phenomenology of painting and how use of techniques such as colour and texture can make us experience a feeling or memory. Each print is hand numbered and signed by me. What are Giclee prints? Giclee prints use pigments like the pigments in paints, unlike digital prints which use ink. Why is this important? Inks are not permanent and fade over time. Pigments do not fade. So pigments on Giclee prints are more permanent. The result is a print that is close to an original painting. Giclee prints are printed on Fine Art Archival paper. Archival paper is made from cotton and not trees (normal paper). Normal paper has acid in it. So it starts to deteriorate over time. Archival paper, has no acid in it. So it is more permanent. It feels more like heavy weight watercolour paper.

I am a Freelance Illustrator based in Norwich, Norfolk. I have recently graduated from Norwich University of the Arts. I enjoy illustrating books that deal with social or philosophical subjects through surreal, dream-like imagery, using a mixture of both handmade and digital elements. In my work, I study the themes of loss, memory and place. I'm interested in how my use of painting techniques can create an experience and invoke a feeling of calmness, happiness and a feeling of being within the subject of the painting. I often find inspiration when walking through the countryside here in the UK or in places that give me feelings of nostalgia and a sense of the passing of time.
