About The Artwork

From www.louissidoli.com About: This is inspired by one of the most iconic films of all time - Martin Scorceses “Taxi Driver” from 1976. The print incorporates Robert De Niro’s actual taxi driver licence he obtained whilst training as a taxi driver in preparation for the film. It also features a 1970’s vintage map of midtown Manhattan with a New York skyline where it was filmed on location. The neon lights are formed in the shape of a classic Checker Cab as featured in the film that is morphed into the shape of a handgun.
