Tel Aviv has been granted the title " The Whie City " and recognized by UNESCO as the largest accumulation of Bauhaus Architechture buildings in the world. That beautiful and practical architecture style originated in Germany and was brought to Palestine by Jewish immigrants from Germany before world war II. I am highly inspired by the elegant shapes of these buildings and couldn't avoid pulling my smartphone out of my pocket and draw what I saw on the smartphone screen. I hope that I have been successful in conveying my enthusiasm while painting this scene. This digital free hand drawing is alo published in my book " Secular and Holy in Line and Color " which is sold in all museums in Israel. See also my website michaelslatkine.com

Israel
I am a painter and doctor in physics who shares his time between painting and science. The colorfulness and light in my paintings drew on my childhood in East Africa. In recent years I have developed a Digital Free Hand Drawing technique using a smart phone screen. For the past two years, my smart phone has been used to document six cities around Israel through 600 drawings.
