ABOUT THE ARTWORK
‘The Pinstripe Suit’ was created during the lockdown in Spain and is one of a series of portraits under the umbrella title ‘All Dolled Up with Nowhere to go’. All the portraits are imagined and reflect aspects of this isolated period. This 6 color silkscreen is printed on Somerset satin, a heavyweight 300 gram handmade paper from St Cuthbert's Mill in Somerset. The print is created by printing each colour separately, gradually building up the image.

I was born in Staffordshire, UK and was based in London for twenty years, where I taught fine art at University level while maintaining a career as a professional artist before leaving the teaching profession and concentrating solely on making art. For the last 18 years he has been based in Cadiz Province on the Costa de la Luz in southern Spain, where I make most of my work.
