With the use of collagraphy techniques on paper, these images are inspired by aesthetics created by cosmological mapping, illustrations based on satellite and telescope images and microscopic imagery. The circle is a universal model and form that is the starting point in understanding the universe in its micro and macro cosmic state. I explore different textures and linear work within the framework of the sphere to not only understand the universality of the “circle”, but to connect it with the person’s body and mind. I use a collagraph technique to execute fine linear marks within each image. Every image is a unique piece that cannot be duplicated through the printmaking process due to the collagraph plate will only allow one print. Each piece is an original.
