Printmaking: Digital on Paper.
In this series of pictures, I'm exploring the meditative properties of shapes, space and color. These images are meant to be meditative - a way to move for a moment to a different space out of time, to take a breath, to re-center, re-imagine and restore; to consider and to create new thoughts and new perspectives.
Inspired by: Richard Tuttle, David Hockney, Anne Truitt, James Turrell, Richard Serra, Ellsworth Kelly and so many more...
I make digital art by painting and manipulating images with my fingers on a touch screen with the same app David Hockney has been using for his digital imagemaking. I love that direct, tactile connection with the work - touchscreens bridge traditional physical art making with digital, deliberately leaving evidence of human touch.
