Leigh Bagley set up the studio 2012, selling Limited Edition artwork. As a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London and following a freelance design career he had focused primarily on a lecturing career but missed having a creative outlet. The decision to set up his studio and design under his own name was something he had wanted to achieve since graduation. Leigh's practice now dovetails with his lecturing at The Glasgow School of Art enabling him to enjoy all aspects of design practice and education. In 2022 the studio turned 10 years old and so to better reflect the range of projects we undertake and the products we sell we have decided to change our name to The Graphic Pattern Studio. The Graphic Pattern Studio brings a new fresh dynamic design aesthetic to a longstanding interior furnishing tradition. The design studio blends traditional design methodologies with digital technology to create wallpapers, fabrics and prints that are rich with geometric motifs, forms and colour. A strong sense of contemporary graphic aesthetics underpins the studio's artistic direction injecting modern decorative design into the Interior design scene. The studio blends traditional design methodologies with digital technology to create surface patterns that are rich with geometric motifs, forms and above all colour. A strong sense of aesthetic underpins all work, directly taking influence from everyday surroundings and a love of a modernist aesthetic. The print work has been coveted by leading architecture and interior design companies and has become sought after by private clients and collectors internationally. Design Milk, a leading online design blog described the design work as "some of most fun and vibrant geometric prints we’ve seen, perfect for any interior”
