Since I was able to hold pencils and colors in my early age , I realized that my life would have had only one path , that of the artistic research that I carried out first in the choice of studies ( Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where I graduated with honors ) , and later as a job, being an artist and a teacher of Italian Design in an Art School . The Florentine school experience led me to a strong cultural maturity , both technical and expressive , which brought me to focus on the image. The heart of all my work has always been the woman and the feminine universe to which I belong , the woman protagonist of each scene , meditative , pensive and silent observer . In my early work "˜she' probably did not occur directly , but its presence was evoked by clothes leaning on the stand, like I did as a student, or suspended in the air and surrounded by the blue sky . The figure was never fully represented but through particular details, realistically described but surrounded by an aura of mystery. Strong colors and strong color contrasts . The garments are mine, shoes , clothes ... Another central element since my early work has always been the sky that initially appeared often sprinkled with shreds of clouds through which patches of blue appeared. Since then, the look of my women is hidden by glasses, the reclined position of the head, by the hair. I always feared that the offer of the gaze could deprive them of their inner selves , their essence - soul. I also enjoyed bringing them in places strongly contrasting with their presence to create the sense of disorientation that a woman in swimsuit on a beach mat can generate when taken on a road in the desert, or sun bathing on a wall dissolving in an endless blue sea . Then, gradually, the meadows, the sand , the sea disappeared and the women raised (detached) from the ground to sit gently, often from behind, on paths suspended in the sky, white ribbons that appear and disappear without tracing a map of their coming and going. From this moment onwards every reference to contemporary disappears, no time call but stones , silent witnesses of eternity. Sometimes the nature appears, beautiful , wild , untamed by man and invariably the sheets appear, " scenes" blowing in the wind and light, draped veils (dream towels) that cover the eyes becoming " hiding places of the soul .
