Since her arrival in Menorca(Spanish island), Roman has tried themes such as the relation between the woman and the world; the search for new solutions to the problems that plague the world; the north-south relationship, the Earth as a homely space and as a desolate place, the need to create bridges and sew the Earth together. Her first exposition was in 1987, since then, she has participated in collective expositions in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London, Berlin, Valencia (Art and Environment Fair/ Feria de Arte y Medio ambiente 2005), Mallorca, Menorca, Los Angeles (USA) (Art Rental & Sales Gallery, LA County Museum of Art) and individual expositions in Menorca, Madrid and Los Angeles (United States). Artist and Sculptor. Studied design at the Instituto Artístico de Enseñanza in Madrid (1988-1991). Lived and worked in Holland (1984) and United States of America (Los Angeles 1994-1997). In 1997 she made Menorca her home and has developed a style which combines an ample range of forms and techniques of expression: paint, ceramic, stone, sculpture in iron and artistic installations using various materials. In 2009, she presented her project "Latitude 40º" which is an international artistic intervention having its beginnings in Menorca.
