Unique work in acrylic on paper.
In 2016, I made a series of about 30 prints, all monotypes, that is, a single copy. Some of these, including this one, were exhibited in a cultural center of the city.
The way I work the monotypes, is totally handmade and homemade.
Making energetic movements crossed. The spatula and the dry tip are tools that I am using because they have the advantage of subtracting paint or ink, unlike the brush that is a tool that always adds.
I usually work with the idea of subtracting, rather than adding.

Instagram: As an architect and visual artist I look for a synthesis in the compositions. Through brushstrokes of pure colors and simple shapes, my works try to generate an intimate dialogue with the viewer. I look for beauty not in the retouched or in the figurative, but in the first lines of a work, I believe that there is always something new that I try to respect. I have ventured into engraving, developing a simple technique to create monotypes in black and white. This technique helped me become interested in the traces that different tools leave on paper. From there I have been evolving towards color and specifically towards abstract expression. I completed my statement based on a question that was recently asked to me. What is color for you? For me, color is life, it is movement, it is vibration and therefore it moves. It moves emotions, different types of emotions, in my works I seek to move hidden emotions, not so classifiable. It is also calculus, it is mathematics and equity and it has its laws. As it has its laws it is also science. Color poses difficult problems to solve, and when I get closer to the solution there is joy and satisfaction, like someone who solves a mathematical equation.
