ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This sculpture is part of a small series with flat steel done in 2022. The inspiration was to create a little sculpture for my office table to be inspired the whole day. The dimensions are 7,1 W x 13 H x 5,9 D inch and the weight is ~1,8kg. It looks great on a table, sideboard or bookcase. All steel parts are bended, welded and powder-coated in red. The last picture demonstrates the scale of the sculpture.

My name is Armin Staeblein, a self-taught metal sculptor. In the past I started with wire art, kinetic art like wind sculptures and a rolling ball sculptur. My background is engineer and the results from my technical and artistic obsessions are the metal sculptures. I´m faszinated by round forms like circles and spheres and the inspiration was to create spheres with different kinds of steel. The shape of every component part and the tough and cold look from steel is completely different every time but the community of the spherical shap gives an emotion of security and harmony.
