ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The larger items are always a bit more involved, and also more personal. I usually have an item named even before I start working on it, however, this one just started out without a particular title. I tried to find something fitting while I was working on it, it just did not happen this time. So, I just left it this way, and it became "A Bowl with no Name", kind of like that horse in a great song that I had stuck in my head while I was working on it. After all, not everything needs to have a name to become known to the world... I paid particular attention to the outer shape here, and tried to match it up with a nicely fitting, more modern pattern. Materials include various exotic and domestic hardwoods, the base is made of Honey Locus, the patterns contain Canadian Maple, Ebony, and Padauk, with some stabilized turquoise.
