About The Artwork

A glass artwork: Japanese silk paper is placed in the back of the non-refracted glass and cut glasses are pasted on front of the glass to create the conceptual artwork ♥ It is quite A see through piece, so if you place it in front of the light, it gives a wonderful glow ♥ and different perspective ♫ The stand is hand made wood painted with Black acrylic Artist statement: ****************** Painting & Artwork is my way of peacefully communicating with the world: a silent, visual reflection of my soul, together with energy of the moment through Time & Space. My artworks represent my inner thoughts & feelings of the moment. “Simplicity with contrast & harmony” is the key to my works.

初めまして♥美知子です。日本から来ています。 南カリブ海はアル-バ島(Aruba) からのご挨拶です♥ Born and raised in Japan, now lives in “One Happy Island” of Aruba since 1998. She started presenting her artwork in Aruba since 2006. Most of her work in the past had been done using the technique call “Hari-e” - A unique, traditional Japanese art of tearing, cutting, painting and assembling pieces of art from special papers, together with her Calligraphy. She now paints with Acrylic and other mediums combined with or without Hari-e as well, and enjoy Digital artwork occasionally. My first painting sold in Aruba was Japanese Sumi-e titled "Harmony" a painting of 2 Koi fishes in Black and Red with the Sumi ink on Japanese Wash paper ♥ (a Traditional Japanese painting) Every year, since 2011 I have been commissioned to design (paint) Aruba Collectible Stamps, FDC and the matched cancellation stamp by the philatelic department of Aruba post office. I am the only foreigner who creates Aruba official stamps together with other Aruban Artists. I like conceptual abstract painting: Playing with Colors, Textures, Dimensions, Spaces, and Innate Feeling. Painting is my way of peacefully communicating with the world: a silent, visual reflection of my soul, together with energy of the moment. My artworks represent my inner thoughts & feelings. “Simplicity with contrast & harmony” is the key to my works. Japanese Home page ♥ 日本語ホームページは下記へ♥ https://michikosartworld.amebaownd.com/
