Sanzone combines his fine art training with a thorough knowledge of woodworking, to create unique sculptural paintings. Often making handcrafted boxes to hold artwork, enabling pieces to spin, and encouraging the viewer to interact with his work such as his 'Rotating Construction' series. His 'Distillery Series' series began while an Artist in Residence at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Scotland, and consists of reclaimed whisky casks the artist salvages for his material. Sanzone's work has been shown in galleries and institutions worldwide, including a recent special exhibition at Bergdorf Goodman New York, as well as art fairs, including sold-out solo presentation at the Architectural Digest Design Show and Aqua Art Miami. Born 1977, New Haven. Currently lives in NYC- area with studios in NJ and CT.
