About The Artwork

The artist's 'Rotating Construction' series, is one of his most successful bodies of work, and has been described as a ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ - each work contains several unique collages, on double-sided wood blocks that spin, allowing the viewer to interact and change the artwork to an almost endless series of combinations, all of which are housed in a custom, artist-made frame. The artist's thorough knowledge of carpentry allows him to skillfully utilize the medium. His background in illustration and interest in collage come together to create fantastic 'narratives' within each work, with everything from vintage postage stamps, Life magazine pictures, iconic Marilyn Monroe images, interacting together in this game-like wall sculpture.
