About The Artwork

I was inspired to sculpt Abraham Lincoln because he is one of America's greatest presidents who presided at one of the most difficult times in the country's history. I hope that viewers of this piece will be able to appreciate some of the agonizing decisions that he had to make in his facial expression that I have created. I chose to work in clay because it is so malleable and easy to create facial shapes.
