After the beer festival is inspired by a sense of humour found after a good night of free traditional beer. He is clad in his (jazi) jacket endowed on him at the lobola (traditional marriage) of his youngest daughter. Its a cold night but the man is full in the completest sense. He has filled himself with some fresh roasted goat meat and "Muchaiwa beer" (muchaiwa is a beverage that is a by-product of chikokiyana-one day beer in Zimbabwe. He is uttering and slurring of how drunk and happy he is while singing a common traditional tune, "ndadhakwa nehwahwa" (am drunk with beer.) Its created from Springstone. Springstone is an exceptionally hard, dark serpentinite stone used in Shona sculpture. This unique and beautiful creation is meant to bring out the lighter side of life. It can be both an indoor or outdoor design element. Created by Sidney Majengwa, a passionate sculpture with over 3 decades working with stone. His work expresses human emotions in every way, delving in both rural and urban settings. His work is sought after and is found with private collectors and galleries across Australia, Netherlands, Germany, UK, America, South Africa and Switzerland among others.

Malawi
My name is Lawrence Heeraliyhu. I am a young artist who lives in Malawi but have strong connections with Zimbabwean Shona Sculpture. I grew up in a cultural set up whereby sculptors and other artists have been telling stories about our Southern African cultures and history through their work. With time as a young boy, I ended up learning to do some canvas painting but I didn't delve further into it. During my early University days , I came across a course called Cultural Anthropology which compelled me to start paying more close attention to various African cultures by observing various cultural tradition artifacts through the camera lens. I am a photographer who specialises and has a passion for stone sculpture. Taking pictures of stone sculpture is like telling a beautiful story of human history, struggles, inspiration, achievements and daily activities that people may take for granted. I feel connected to every unique piece of sculpture as if it had a life of its own. Even though its not literally a soul, it can touch our lives, spur us on and inspire us to develop positive vibes. It is my earnest goal to promote these talented artists, some are well known names and had their work exhibited across Europe, North America, South Africa and Australia. Others are upcoming and emerging artists but are exceptionally gifted in producing masterpieces.
