Inspired by Japanese Mythology of the Kitsune, the 9 tailed fox that shape-shifts into human form, this fox is a Samurai warrior. His samurai outfit is an authentic original vintage Japanese miniature helmet and armour sourced from Japan. This piece is a tabletop piece and I hope he inspires a sense of fantasy and mystery and cultural history daydreams. All fur is ethically sourced.

Lucia Mocnay creates anthropomorphic taxidermy artworks that are inspired by folklore, historical eras and mythologies from many different lands. As our varied cultural heritage dissipates in today’s society, her work seeks to bring about a mindfulness of the past, a reminder of our roots. In bringing to light these characters from forgotten tales, they live on, preserved in artwork for future generations. All animal remains used in her artwork are sourced ethically.
