Alberto Fusco

About the Artist

Alberto Fusco

United Kingdom

Alberto Fusco is a London-based Italian artist whose work has been exhibited and collected internationally, including selection for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026. His practice draws on traditions of pattern, rhythm, and repetition, extending them into a distinctive sculptural language.
Fusco transforms magazines into intricate three-dimensional works. Flat, ephemeral pages are meticulously folded, layered, and assembled into vibrant geometric compositions. Often diamond-shaped and built from modular units, these sculptures suggest a fusion of mosaic, textile, and architecture, combining visual intensity with the tactile presence of their source material.
At the core of Fusco’s practice is the idea of transformation. By reworking everyday printed matter into enduring sculptural forms, he challenges conventional notions of value, permanence, and fragility, revealing unexpected beauty and order within the overlooked.
Sustainability is an integral but understated aspect of his work. Through the use of recycled materials, Fusco invites reflection on consumption and waste without resorting to overt commentary. The folds, lines, and rhythms of his sculptures evoke both natural growth and human craft, bridging the organic and the geometric.
Ultimately, Fusco’s work explores the relationship between material and imagination, demonstrating how even the most fragile substances can be reshaped into forms that feel strong, luminous, and alive.
