About The Artwork

The sculptures shown on this site were born from an idea that came to me when my daughter Alessia turned 18, I imagined what Alice's life would be like (in wonderland) after her 18 years, connecting the lives of the two girls (Alessia and Alice). These are artworks that have achieved a considerable success, especially among the young public at the exhibition held in Hungary, Kecskemèt city in 2016. This theme as well is the result of a path matured during a career of over twenty years, with the need to adopt a methodic workflow developing my favourite themes and enhancing new intuitions (Arturo Martini said “An artist must be able to shed his skin like a snake..."). Personal and universal events, emotions, the careful analysis of reality and my imagination have favored the identification of common threads. Five themes to work with profitable continuity and alternation, sometimes leading me to change technique and style (... being able to shed skin...) in order not to remain a prisoner of it, and for continuous renewal = energy. Duality is the substantial component in my work, everything has its opposite. If reading my work carefully you can see the alternation of chiaroscuro, smooth and rough, light and darkness, good and evil. It is from Nature, particularly the microcosm, where I draw the greatest source of inspiration from.
