Ani - Emerald Fungi - Intramineral Red Light. Sculpture

This piece is the flagship of Torres's "Modular Fungi", first exposed in Bogotá, Colombia, in June 2019. "Ani - Emerald Fungi" is a triptical piece made by the artist for his wife, Ana María, as a gift. Inspired by minerals and light, this series of works is called "Intramineral Light", which refers to the self-conscious light that Torres finds when transcending limits and dead end situations. Corners symbolize the limit of all limits, therefore intramineral light is the result of transcending them. "Modular Fungi" are creatures born from that light and symbolize new ways of dealing with matters such as space, limits, mineral resources and light itself. This piece can be installed on a female or concave corner.
