ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Aurora Skylight depicts the aurora with an array of colored acrylic suspended from the ceiling inspired by nature’s illumination of the magnetosphere. The sculpture is created with over 300 hand cut pieces of colored acrylic placed within a custom designed ceiling plate laser cut out of aluminum. The Gladstone House in Toronto, Canada commissioned Aurora Skylight where it will be on loan until 2025. New commissions and variations of Aurora Skylight are welcomed.
