About The Artwork
Originally from tropical Africa, Baobab is part of the family Bombacaceae and has several names "magic tree", "pharmacy tree" or "tree of life". Special in size, it has many virtues. The therapeutic and nutritional virtues of baobab are found in its various components namely, the roots, the leaves, the trunk, the bark, the pulp and the seeds. They are used by traditional practitioners. The fruit pulp, known as "monkey bread", has a special taste and is consumed as a drink when mixed with water or milk.
