This limited edition bronze sculpture of the Black Rhinoceros from the original collection of art pieces, is a remarkable addition to any collection. The Black Rhinoceros, also known as the hook-lipped Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis), is infamous for being highly aggressive and prone to attacking perceived threats. Nic's stunning sculpture successfully captures the animal's characteristic stance, with its head and horn raised, tail erect, and body ready to confront any challenge. The sculpture is mounted on a Rhodesian teak wood base, adding to its aesthetic appeal.

Introducing Nic van Rensburg, a gifted artist born in 1959, whose creations seamlessly intertwine sculptures and paintings, capturing the true essence of wildlife and nature. With an innate ability to infuse life into his art, Nic has developed his distinctive style through keen observation and natural talent, without any formal training. Since 1995, he has turned his passion for art into a lifelong pursuit, dedicating himself to highlighting the beauty of the natural world. His inspiration is drawn from the African bush, where he skillfully portrays the spirit of the animals he encounters. He established his gallery in Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa, and has become a vital member of the local art community. Among the various mediums Nic explores, sculpting holds a special place in his heart. His close proximity to a bronze foundry in Cape Town allows him to be intimately involved with each piece, ensuring unique, high quality art pieces, for art collectors. His goal is to capture the natural movement of each animal in his bronze sculptures, infusing them with the genuine essence of the wild. These exquisite works are also available in GRP (Glass reinforced polymer) or resin sculptures. Nic’s artistic talents are not limited to sculpture; he also creates vibrant, colorful paintings of landscapes, farm scenes, flowers, and Nguni cattle, with each piece celebrating the breathtaking South African environment. His artworks are part of collections around the globe, spanning countries such as the USA, Canada, England, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Namibia, Mauritius, and his homeland, South Africa.
