Lana’s work certainly didn’t start small. She actually began her creative path painting expansive murals for libraries and universities. These large-scale works were her primary focus, until she began to work in ceramics which then got smaller & smaller & more & more intricate. Academically, Lana graduated both art school & university where she received a comprehensive education in artistic techniques. This, combined with countless hours of practice, was crucial in developing the skills necessary for miniature work. As Lana grew up in Russia, she is influenced by Russian art & architecture but 11 years ago she moved to the UK & now finds aspects of English heritage in her work. It was here she discovered the Royal Society of Miniatures, Sculptors & Gravers, she became a member & now regularly creates pieces for their Summer Exhibition.
