"Madrepora" bowl in porcelain paper clay, bisquit finish. The "Madrepora" texture of this ceramic vase recalls corals and is an exclusive M'I lumina craft, made by brush with different layers of ceramics and a long and laborious process. The inner layer of this clay bowl is smooth and the color is a nice cold gray while the outer layers are white and give a nice contrast effect thanks to the irregular texture that reveals the gray color below. Without a pedestal, this bowl naturally finds its balance on the plane. Perfect as a precious gift for her or as a wedding present, this decorative ceramic bowl is an interesting collectible item: like all M'I lumina creations, each one is a unique piece, crafted without mold. It is single-fired in a 1250 degree ceramic kiln and is not glazed but colored in bulk, adding colored oxides to the ceramic mixture.

M'I lumina is an exclusive Porcelain Paper Clay brand dedicated to contemporary ceramic. M'I lumina came to life at the beginning of 2015, from the eclectic mind of Luciana Grazia Menegazzi. Born in Milan in 1961, she graduated in Architecture in 1988. During her career she has also had experiences as a Teaching Assistant at Politecnico of Milan, and took part in various design competitions. Pottery expert, collector of italian majolicas from the '30s and '40s, design and handmade enthusiastic, she was charmed by paper clay, a modern but ancient material, made of clay and paper cellulose. She experimented with “bone china” porcelain in particular, whose elegance, resistance and transparency she really appreciate. So she created M'I lumina, a Milan-based hand-made brand, whose mission is to create exclusive lamps and furnishings, with an high handcraft content and an absolutely original design. A M'I lumina piece of design is way more than its function or a trend, it is an iconic and evocative creation. The paper clay itself, the use of recycled paper and the organic forms, inspired by the vegetal and animal world, make the M'I lumina creations the protagonists of a refined but eco-friendly idea of interior design.
