Work is important to me as a way to learn and grow. Buddhists practice the art of meditative mindlessness in mundane daily chores such as sweeping and cooking. The broom represents that to me. I chose bronze for this to communicate the importance and beauty of our daily chores. This piece is cast in silicone bronze using the traditional lost wax method at the Sincerus Bronze Foundry in Indianapolis, IN.. Sincerus is a small foundry specializing in fine art castings. The broom is a full three dimensional casting finished on all sides. It is a complete replica of a household broom in bronze. It can be shown leaning against a wall, standing in a corner, or on a low pedestal. Weight 22 pounds.
