This JUNKEEZ piece was made with different items that I have found and gathered from antique stores, flea markets etc. After putting this character together, I decided that the mustache kinda reminded me of a Sherlock Holmes type character. After finding a magnifying glass to put in his hand, the next part was figuring out what to name him. After researching a bit, I came across a guy named William J Burns, an investigator as well as secret serviceman and Americas version of Sherlock Holmes. His story is pretty awesome and I encourage everyone to read up on him! Burnsy is made from cast iron shoe forms, old thread bobbins for legs, a wooden bowl for a bottom underneath the stainless steel vase for a body. He also features copper tubing arms, copper wire fingers, a brass magnifying glass, wooden finial head, and his face is a cast iron wall hanger. Burnsy's hat is made first with a rusted wall plug plate, then a stainless steel small dish, and topped with a cast iron gear of some sort. He is all held together with a lag bolt amongst other screws etc. I try my best to keep all of the pieces that my JUNKEEZ are made out of, in original condition. The paint on the shoe was there when I found it. Basically its all put together in the way that I found the pieces.
