This sculpture name is "Cherishing beauty" ("Плекання краси" in Ukrainian).
The creation of the sculpture was inspired by the natural beauty of the stone taken from the river in the Carpathian area.
You know I have a passion to look on the river stones and pieces of wood polished and weathered by the mountain river and sand for long years.
Every stone has its own history. An experienced geologist can read the story of the stone. Sometimes the stones include some fossilized remains of ancient life what can make them valuable for a paleontologist too.
But for an artist, the stone can get one more dimension of value.

From the moment when the stone was taken from the river, it takes about 5 years until the idea was ripe.
Stone has cracks and potholes which reminds me of women's hair waves. So I imagine a woman figure in the act and then start cut the stone in a way to keep the beauty of the natural stone surface. So at least half of the stone's surface still has its natural pristine beauty.
