The "Coco-coatl" is a Mexican beast of my authorship. It has the head and torso of a crocodile, and the tail of a rattlesnake. By waving his tail, a mesmerizing melody begins to sound from his rattle. This noise attracts its victims who, under the effect of hypnosis, are devoured by the beast.

I am Peri, a Mexican artist born in Puebla, Mexico in 1998. I started my life as an artist at the end of 2020, after graduating with a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla. After finishing my studies, I decided to follow my passion: the creation of works centered on animals. While studying for my degree, I worked in my father's taxidermy workshop, a renowned Master Taxidermist. Over the years, I learned the anatomical study of animals that I apply to my designs today. The process of transforming an idea or a thought into something physical, tangible, is something I experience, focusing on exploring the animal world, where I combine different species with parts of the human body that, when fused together, create fantastic, grotesque beasts where the beauty emerges. “Cococoatl”, “Abuelo Neek´ and “Teo Bicéfalo” are some of my creations. I am an artist on the rise, with a lot to experience. My trajectory is based on trial and error, since most of what I have learned has been through the use of different materials and techniques. Resins, plasticine, pastes, fiberglass, silicone and various types of paint are some of the materials that I have used throughout my journey as an artist. My art seeks to express something deeper than mere aesthetics. The idea of connecting with people through my work is something fundamental for me because I look for a rapprochement between the creator and the receiver, a finished work that manages to move the other and invite them to participate in my world by distorting reality to access the beauty.
