Colourful Companion #30 Sculpture

This series began in early 2020 and continues to be my personal favourite. Each piece aims to emit a joyful and inviting presence, a pure and beautiful object with a unique and personal composition of shapes and indulging colour. The sculpture is your 'Colourful Companion', designed to last and devoted to gratification. 'Colourful Companion #30' includes bright, intense tones and a large impressive delicate structure. I choose to use steel rod or tube for its strength and mold-ability as well as it's potential for secure, delicate, 'natural' joins between the layers. The layers are connected with intricately crafted tiny welded steel pins and sockets, with meticulous attention to detail and an unblemished finish. With this I'm aiming to avoid distraction and allow the distinct form to come alive with characterful effect as an entity. I choose colour combinations that I love and hope to see, and I like to tie together shapes within the sculpture with possible themes such as juxtaposition, balance, geometry, rhythm, and family like relation of their nature. It stands invitingly on a contrasting cast white concrete segment of it's environment. The sculpture and base are coated and can be wiped clean when necessary. It is designed to be indoor. If requested, a larger sized concrete base could be used.
