ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Compression is a piece that spanned over a 2 year period. The idea was to have a single continuous cross-section shape with some bends and symmetry in one plan. I had the design worked out in my head when I started but came up some problems that had to be sorted out during fabrication. This work was part of the BOSI exhibition at Irvine Valley College and after a two-year exhibit, the piece was purchased under special procurement fund by local patrons.
