ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Large sculptural bottle, 14.5" tall. This piece was built to reflect the deep intricate fissures and folds in coral and in the ocean landscape. The glaze is meant to accentuate the form as much as possible. Technical aspects: built from two pieces of clay, one for the walls and another for the foot. Slab built cone 6 stoneware. glazed with a "crackle" semi matte white glaze. It is a stand-alone piece of art but is also water-tight and functional.
